Converted farmhouse into a luxury villa in Tuscany

Arrighi’s history dates back to the 11th century and remnants of this era remain. It originally served as a watch tower, with an adjoining fortified farmhouse both with commanding views over the Niccone Valley and the Tuscan countryside. The villa has been meticulously restored and consists of a Main House and Guest Cottage. The imposing L-shaped main house was the former fortified farmhouse and watch-tower and is approached through the entrance gates which lead past the guest cottage and on to a large paved courtyard with a fountain. The main building itself retains some of Romanesque features which indicate its heritage. It has been renovated to preserve the austere external appearance whilst creating a spacious light modern interior with sandstone flooring and a glass encased external staircase tower. Extensive private grounds and wonderful views over the Reschio Estate and castle, an 18 x 4 m infinity pool and vaulted pool house and the minimal interior make this a truly unique property which delightfully combines an authentic history with the conveniences of the present day. This luxurious vacation rental can be found here.

This house makes me so sick with envy. I looooove Tuscany, Moraccan, vineyard style homes with very modern upgrades. I mean I just love it. The bathroom especially is just breath taking. That is a place you can just relax, and slip away for a while. I love the open, large historic grounds it is on as well. I wasn’t to impressed with the direction of the bedrooms, I felt they didn’t have a wow pop effect like the rest of the house, and I am wondering, but it looks like there are 2 or three living rooms, I would use the spaces differently, such as personally, since I am a belly dancer, and do ballet for fun, so I would have a dance studio, and the smallest lounge area would be a library/office. however those are my personal needs and wants Overall extremely impressive. The pool is exquisite, and the outdoor dining area and view is breath taking, so at the end of the day, if I had a place like that, I would not complain, ha ha!
