This beautiful two-story family home has been meticulously re-imagined by design studio Collected Interiors, located in North Coogee, Western Australia. The home was designed for a young and energetic couple with two children who wished to have a modern home with comfortable, relaxing interiors. The style direction was to create “an understated, organic, rustic, colorful/fun, relaxed yet modern look to give the new home some character and personality,” states the designers. The design project encompassed refreshing the interior walls with a new coat of paint and mixing existing furniture pieces with new selections. Natural organic pieces were infused with contemporary and colorful decor elements to create an inviting home brimming with character and personality. The exterior facade of the property was also given a facelift with a touch up of paint and landscaping to create great curb appeal.

Wooden flooring covers all the public spaces on the first floor, while the bedrooms on the second level are carpeted for added texture and comfort. An area rug under the dining table is bright and colorful, adding a great focal point to the open concept living space. In the living area, wall to wall sliding glass doors opens to reveal a stunning backyard escape, beautifully decorated with a cozy outdoor living area and lush gardens. Drapery curtains can close this area off for privacy.
