This stunning home by designer Greg Natale combines playful design with a modernist architectural form, located in Balmain, a suburb of Sydney, Australia. The three-story property features wonderful harbor views, which upon arrival to the home you are greeted by a traditional cottage style front facade, yet around the back is more of a resort style atmosphere. The clients requested for the designer to design a mid-century ‘Palm Springs’ style interior, which means clean, minimalist lines mixed with a high glamorous style. The result is an open and airy home illuminated with natural light and a splash of Palm Springs glamour. Even with a narrow site, the space feels voluminous thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and a disappearing wall in the main living space. The use of Jonathan Adler pieces helps to further enhance the Hollywood Regency style and uplifting color palette, while retro-inspired concrete blocks delineates the kitchen from the staircase while allowing light and air to filter through.
