This beautiful turn of the century apartment offers plenty of charm and luminosity, located in the Linnéstaden neighborhood of Gothenburg, Sweden. Spotted on Alvhem, this 700 square foot (65 square meters) home features preserved details such as hardwood flooring throughout, crown moulding, ceiling medallions and high ceilings. Once you open the door into this lovely pad and the first thing you will notice is an inviting hallway that is the hub of this apartment, which means you can easily access all the rooms through it. The “encircling / continuous” floor plan provides an extra cozy feel. In the living room you are met by an immense space illuminated by natural light. Floor-to-ceiling glass french doors that leads out to a spacious wrought iron balcony adds to the luminosity, along with the light painted walls and wooden flooring. In winter, the balcony doors are kept closed, yet they help to blur the lines between inside and outside, without letting in the cold.
The living room is perfect for socializing with great company, with the room’s ceiling framed by preserved crown moulding and a decorative ceiling rose in the middle. Next to the living room is the bedroom, separated by massive double mirrored doors. Transitioning into the bedroom, which can be accessed from the living room and hallway, you will notice a beautifully wallpapered feature wall that provides tranquility with its woodsy theme. This completely renovated turn of the century apartment is situated on the top floor boasting breathtaking views over the city and harbor, located in Gothenburg, Sweden. The small 721 square foot (67 square meters) home is comprised of a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and small west facing balcony off the living room. Natural light illuminates this stylish home that comes complete with exclusive and well selected details and materials. Everything has been very well thought out and very tastefully decorated. During the renovation process, the goal was to integrate typical turn of the century character with modern materials. The overall aesthetic turned out flawless, with a harmonious connection between the early 1900s and industrial elements. The layout was changed around to create a nice transparency, maximizing surfaces and increasing luminosity. A wall between the kitchen and living area was torn down to create openness and the bedroom was decreased in size to allow the social area to gain extra space. The flooring throughout the main living spaces is comprised of black plank floorboards, with a nice visual contrast of white planks in the bedroom and bathroom. Upon entrance into the welcoming home, you are greeted with soothing wallpaper in the hallway.

The open floor plan between the kitchen and living room offers a pleasant social atmosphere, whether you are lounging on the sofa sitting around the dinner table, you can enjoy the city’s very best views. The walls were painted a crisp white, with a feature wall between the kitchen and the living room showcasing exposed brick. Glass doors opens out to the balcony, where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea and enjoy the stunning views. This is a great spot to enjoy all year round, nestling in a cozy blanket during the brisk winter months.

The bedroom is a charming tower room separated by a large industrial sliding door. To maximize the small space, a clever built-in bed was designed with hidden storage accessed beneath. A walk-in closet also has plenty of space for clothing. Windows were incorporated high on the wall to bring in light and views. The original flooring was preserved in the bedroom and closet areas and refreshed with a coat of white paint.
The bathroom was expanded to allow for a combined washing machine and dryer. Walls and floors are adorned with exclusive gray tiles. The shower is recessed in a niche and underfloor heating was incorporated for maximum comfort.
Located in Stockholm, Sweden, this cozy one-room apartment has everything you could possibly need, cleverly and functionally designed into one tiny space. With only 387 square feet (387 square meters) of living space, you will find a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and home office all in one space, without looking overcrowded. The important concept in such a small space is too not have too much color, making the space feel busy and having area compete with each other. By keeping a neutral color palette, the space feels bright and airy, everything flows nicely together and the space feels inviting and cozy. The furnishings and decor in this small home are very stylish, with wood flooring and area rugs in keeping with the cozy aesthetic. Built-in wardrobes helps to keep everything organized and clutter free, which is extremely important when you are living in a home that is very small. The space features wonderful IKEA finds that are very characteristic of Scandinavian style homes, mixed with designer pieces such as the Menu Afteroom chair featured in the home office space and the Hay DLD coffee table. The finished result is a very stylish and trendy home that is welcoming despite its small size.
Everything in this home seems to have its place, with a deep set framed window, there is even space for a few house plants to add color and infuse life into the space. A cozy bed features a layering of bedding for those crisp nights during the winter months. A faux animal fur area rug adds texture and warmth to the space. This extraordinary residence features a trendy New York loft design aesthetic, located on Johanneberg street, one of Gothenburg, Sweden’s most popular streets. Spread out over two levels, this 1,291 square foot (120 square meters) home showcases an exclusive and warm character. All materials have been painstakingly selected by the homeowners to create a luxury hotel suite with a “New York feeling”. The finished result of the interior decoration is a sensational journey of muted tones that range from Parlor Blue in the bedroom to Boudin Grey in the guest bedroom to Venetian Dusty Pink in the bathroom. In the open and inviting living area, a crackling fire sets the tone, while a spacious terrace offers sweeping views of the city. On the first level you will find the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, guest bedroom, and a bathroom. Spotted on Alvhem, this intriguing home has only 635 square feet (59 square meters) of living space yet its functional design makes it feel quite spacious and cozy. Dark stained oak wood flooring can be found throughout most of the living spaces, giving a sharp visual contrast against the white walls. The small living room provides an open layout to the dining and kitchen areas. A working fireplace provides warmth and comfort on cool winter nights. Light pours in from the southwest facing windows and large skylights so artificial lighting is not necessary during the day. This charming turn of the century apartment discovered on Alvhem invites a social lifestyle with its bright and airy interiors, located in Linnéstaden, Gothenburg, Sweden. With a total surface area of 570 square feet (53 square meters), this home showcases plenty of preserved details from the late 1800s. All rooms having been renovated to offer current trend amenities while at the same time incorporating lovely details from the past. As you enter, you are greeted by a bright kitchen and beautiful living room. The open floor plan provides a lovely space, with stylish furnishings, white painted walls and original white painted oak planks that runs throughout the apartment. The cozy kitchen is very spacious and open to the front hallway, hosting a small dining table, perfect for entertaining guests. The living room has clean lined and functional furnishings, with one corner adorned by a beautiful white tile stove that is purely for decoration. Two large windows welcomes light into the space, make it bright and airy and a great place for being social.
